-John 14:6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Jesus said that he is the only way to heaven and God. Some people will try to convince you there are many ways. This is not Biblical and Jesus Christ is not a liar.
-Matthew 7:7
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
God is with us! Jesus came and sacrificed himself to save us from sin. The Bible is clear that man is in a fallen state. We were all created in God's image but that image was marred by sin. The result of sin is ultimately death. This death is seperation from God for all of eternity. Jesus seeks all and accepts all who believe. It is that simple. Salvation is not something we can earn by doing but instead is based on our faith in Christ. It is by his grace that we are saved not by the works that we do. When we are saved good works will of course be a by product of a changed heart. A heart that is not at odds with God. We are flawed creatures that need salvation and with any amount of faith, even faith so, so small can grow. Jesus Christ changes hearts. The Holy Spirit convicts us of our sin.
-John 15:5
I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
An important verse for me that sums up the relationship we have with Christ.
